Encounter the beautiful birds like sunbirds, flower peckers, partridges, storks, fulvettas, yuhinas, flycatchers, minivets, woodpeckers, warblers and laughing-thrushes as you walk by. The view of migratory birds like Siberian Rubythroat, Peregrine Falcon, Ospreys, Red-flanked Bluetail, Ibisill, and Wall creeper, Swamp Francolin, Honey Kites, Black Ibis, Black Headed Orioles, Cutia and Tickell’s Red-breasted Blue Flycatcher would be a beautiful sight to catch. If lucky, you can also spot some endangered species like Impeyan Pheasant, Bengal florican, Sarus Crane and Spiny Babler.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

Today starting day of our trip, we send our organization agents to pick you up at Tribhuwan International Airport. You will be heartily welcomed with greetings and shifted towards tourist standard hotel. You can enjoy your leisure time during afternoon at your hotel or come out for walk around the Kathmandu Durbar Square. In the evening we will serve you some typical Nepali dinner with folk dance performances in a local restaurant.

Day 02: Drive from Kathmandu to Chitwan

We leave Kathmandu valley and follow the highway along Trishuli River. Trishuli River can be a good site for Ibis bills and other riverside and Montana bird species. White capped water Redstart, Brown dipper and wall creepers are the birds that are likely to be found on those areas. By the mid-afternoon, we head towards Chitwan, a city located at the foot of the Churia range. The city is famous for housing Chitwan National Park (CNP), the first national park in Nepal, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.  During nature walks we enjoy the company of a wide variety of flora and fauna and spend some time bird watching. In the evening, there will be a presentation on the wide range of flora and fauna of CNP. Overnight in Chitwan.

Day 03 – Chitwan National Park

Today, we will start our day hoping on elephant backs for a jungle safari through dense grassland to discover the wildlife in their natural environment after breakfast; we visit the elephant stables and even enjoy bathing the elephants. During the afternoon we can either drive through the jungles by Jeep or followed by a canoe ride down the Rapti River. During the safari, we go deep into the jungle and spot deer, the endangered one-horn rhinoceros, along with other wild animals. If lucky, we may even spot the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger. We can wander around this revering forest exploring the wildlife. We will be blessed with the close up views of various mammals, reptiles and others. We can spend the day exploring river and go for bird watching in the forest on foot. We can found more than 500 species including Blue Indian Roller, Stork-billed kingfisher, Bengal florican, Bee –eaters and cormorants. It would be an incredible experience.

Day 04 – Chitwan to Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve

It is an attractive journey where you pass through various villages in the lowlands of Nepal. It is an opportunity to get some insights about unique Nepali culture and their way of living. By the late afternoon, we will find ourselves at Koshi Camp. We will set a tent close to Koshi River where we will spend our three nights. The Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve lies at the eastern corner of Nepal in the plains of Sapta Koshi River. It covers an area of 175 square kilometers to the north of the kilometer-long barrage that spans the Koshi River. Lying in a splendid location, this reserve offers an outstanding wetland habitat and is one of the finest bird watching sites in Asia. Almost all of Nepal’s long list of wildfowl, waders, storks, ibises, egrets, terns and gulls occur here, plus a great variety of land birds, especially warblers and birds of prey.

More than 100 species can be seen each day in this wonderful area. You can expect to see the local specialties like Swamp Francolin, Red-necked Falcon and Striated Marsh Warbler. You can also look out for Siberian Rubythroat, Dusky, Smoky, Blyth’s Reed, Paddyfield and Thick-billed Warblers, White’s and Black-throated Thrushes, Richard’s Pipit, Painted Snipe, Great Stone Plover, Pied and Pallid Harriers, Black Bittern, Falcated Duck and Baer’s Pochard.

Day 05 - Today we drive to Biratnagar and take a flight back to Kathmandu

Day 06: Bird Watching at Phulchowki hill

We can see variety of laughing thrushes, babblers, bulbuls, flower peckers, flycatchers, sunbirds, tits and warblers. As we climb up, we can even get some good views of the snow-clad great Himalaya, including the Annapurna range, Langtang and many other high peaks (provided the weather is clear!). We can spend the rest of the day walking down the mountain through its fine temperate and subtropical forest, with a picnic lunch en route. Some of the many highlights include Red-flanked Blue tail, Fire-tailed Sunbird, White-collared and Grey-winged, Blackbirds, Long-tailed Minivet, White-tailed Nuthatch, Orange-barred Leaf Warbler, Orange-bellied Leafbird and many more. More elusive species include Cutia, Kalij Pheasant, Red-billed Leiothrix and Black-faced Leaf Warbler.Phulchowki forest visit may reward us with views of some of the more common diurnal species. At the evening, we return back to Kathmandu.

Day 07 – Farewell

The final day of the trip, you can go for collecting some memories for your loving one before the flight time. Our company’s private vehicle will take you to airport focusing your flight time for your final departure and our representative wishes for your safe journey and successful forward steps with respects and greetings at the airport.

We will be staying at 3 Star Standard hotels which have deluxe suite in Kathmandu for 2 nights and the best available hotels during the tour. All accommodations are on twin-shared basis. Single supplement will be served on request and will cost an additional USD 300.


All meals will be provided during tour while only breakfast will be available in Kathmandu. There will also be welcome and farewell dinners for guests. While on the tour, we have breakfast and dinner in the lodges/hotels we spend the night and lunch on our way to the next destination. The hotel menu includes Nepalese, Tibetan and the more common continental cuisines for us to choose from.

Best Time to Travel

The best time for the Tour is spring (Febraury to June) and autumn (September to December) seasons. The temperature is moderate in these seasons and guarantees amazing views through the trip. Although this trek can be undertaken during winter, the cold temperature might not be suitable for everyone.
